The Lanercost Story
On the site of the original Abbey Farm, adjacent to Lanercost Priory, the development
is about to celebrate it's second anniversary in April 2011. After a number of years
in the planning process, and subsequent restoration and conversion, all the outbuildings
to the farm are now well and truly brought back to life.
The business is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Mike and Victoria Farley,
who have (too) many years of retail and catering experience between them. After
moving to Cumbria 5 years ago from North Yorkshire they happened across the development
by coincidence (Victoria describes it as a 'sliding doors' scenario) and two years
on the story continues.......
